With Nico Collins on the IR, Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell will get an opportunity to show the form that put the league on note in 2023. Dell was superb last season, but has seen his role diminish due to the addition of Stefon Diggs in the offseason.

Against one of the weaker sides in the NFL, Tank Dell is a very good WR2/flex option in fantasy football and should be started with minimal worry. Yes, he had a nasty injury last season, but he is fully fit and ready to go. Unless you have an incredibly strong receiving corps, Dell should be in your lineup.

What numbers to expect from Tank Dell vs. Patriots?

Tank Dell had a dominant spell as the Texans’ WR2 last campaign, and the hope is he can repeat that form in the next four weeks. In 11 games (8 starts), Dell recorded 47 receptions off 75 targets for 709 yards and 7 TDs, adding 51 yards in the running game too.

Dell managed 141.5 fantasy points on the year, and in HPPR leagues averaged 12.9 per game. Dell had a ceiling of 24.9 points last season and had 5 weeks above 14.7 points. Yes, we are a year ahead, yes, the Texans don’t look quite as explosive on offense, but Tank Dell should be in for a busy day.

Tank Dell’s points range: 5-22; Prediction: 12.5

Tank Dell discusses Texans WR room without Nico Collins

Tank Dell spoke to the media on Friday regarding stepping up in Nico Collins’ place and the Texans WR room without him (via ESPN):

“We are up to par to pick up the slack from Nico,” Dell said. “We got dogs in this receiver room. Start with [John] Metchie, [Xavier] Hutchison, myself, Steven [Sims]; I feel like we’ll do well. Nico is a big, big factor in our offense — we all know that — but we still have other players who can go down, stretch the field, win on deep routes and underneath and do some of the similar things that Nico does.”
