The Seattle Seahawks are on top of the NFC West with an 8-5 record, courtesy of a four-game winning streak. Seattle has the postseason on its mind but know the 8-6 LA Rams are a real threat in a playoff race where a loss on Sunday could prove critical.
The upcoming game against the 9-4 Green Bay Packers at Lumen Field is an intriguing matchup that could have wild-card ramifications for one or both franchises. With fantasy football now either in the playoffs or about to be, let’s take a look at the Seahawks’ main weapons in Week 15:
Seahawks’ Week 15 Fantasy Outlooks & Predictions
QB: Geno Smith
Geno Smith has put together some strong performances this season, throwing for 3,474 yards, 14 TDs and 12 INTs while adding 226 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. Smith is the QB13 on the year, as per Fantasy Pros, and has been a reliable hand for teams that were late to the QB position in fantasy drafts. However, his ceiling is fairly limited at 23 points, while his floor can be scary, with one game at the 8.08 mark.
Another issue is that Geno Smith has been declining in form of late, having recorded fewer than 15 points three weeks in a row. Smith faces a Packers defense that ranks 11th in the NFL against QBs, conceding an average of 14.99 fantasy points per game to the position. This feels like a week to fade Smith, unless you are in a real bind at QB.
Geno Smith’s points range: 8-23; Prediction: 14
RBs: Kenneth Walker III & Zach Charbonnet
Kenneth Walker is doubtful for Week 15, and presuming he is ruled out for the game, Zach Charbonnet will step up for a larger role. While Charbonnet is an extremely capable RB, this obviously will leave Walker owners in the lurch.
That said, it’s better to know (or expect) in advance, so you can plan for an alternative. Even if Walker is cleared on gameday, he is a risky start as he may see a very limited snap count. Walker should be faded even if he suits up, unless you truly have no other options available, which is often the case at this stage of the season.
Charbonnet is a must-start against Green Bay, as apart from the volume he is expected to see, the Packers are 22nd against RBs in fantasy this season, allowing an average of 23.64 fantasy points per game to the position. Charbonnet has RB1 value this week and is coming off a 34.80-point performance in HPPR leagues against Arizona, so don’t consider benching him.
Zach Charbonnet’s points range: 8-30; Prediction: 15 (HPPR)

DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba & Tyler Lockett
While DK Metcalf is the WR1 in Seattle, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is seeing more success in the passing game. Metcalf has 54 receptions for 812 and 3 TDs this season, while JSN has 75 catches for 911 yards and 5 TDs.
Meanwhile, Tyler Lockett has seen his volume decline this year, and while this was to be expected, he is starting to fade out of fantasy relevance (except in deeper leagues). Lockett has 511 yards and 2 TDs from 41 receptions but is a risky start with Metcalf and JSN both fit for Sunday’s game.
Compounding this is the fact that the Packers are ninth against WRs this season in fantasy, allowing 30.28 FPPG to the position. If you are in a pinch at WR you should start Metcalf or Smith-Njigba, but Lockett shouldn’t be risked this week.
DK Metcalf’s points range: 4-25; Prediction: 9 (HPPR)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s points range: 3-35; Prediction: 11.5
Tyler Lockett’s points range: 1-15; Prediction: 4
TE: Noah Fant
The Seahawks are not among the teams that utilize the tight end position enough to warrant starting Noah Fant, with the TE having 33 receptions for 329 yards this season. A lack of endzone activity is another reason to stay away from Fant in Week 15.
While he faces a Green Bay defense that allows 14.02 FPPG to the position, Fant rarely breaks 5 points in HPPR leagues (twice in 10 games) so he represents a huge risk at a crucial time in fantasy football.
Noah Fant’s points range: 1-13; Prediction: 4.5
