Malik Nabers and the New York Giants had a weekend to forget and are coming off a disappointing 28-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. While losing to a division rival always stings, the manner of the defeat hurts too and stats about Daniel Jones’ lack of passing TDs at MetLife Stadium are making the rounds (0 since New Year’s Day, 2023).
After missing two games due to a concussion, Nabers was held to 4 catches (8 targets) for 41 yards, recording 6.10 points in HPPR leagues. New York’s schedule doesn’t get any easier, as they head to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers for Monday Night Football in Week 8.
While Pittsburgh’s elite defense makes Nabers a fade candidate, his volume of targets means his floor should be at least the same as last week. If you choose to start Nabers you are gambling on more of those targets being caught and the potential of one of them hitting paydirt.
While Nabers is a risky pick against a defense ranked No.10 against WRs in what could be a poor game script, he is still a good WR2 or flex option due to his volume.

What numbers to expect from Malik Nabers vs. Steelers?
The Steelers have been allowing an average of 29.33 fantasy points per game to WRs in 2024 (HPPR leagues), but they have conceded only 101 real points across 7 games (14.42 per game).
This means Malik Nabers is unlikely to make it into the endzone, especially given the Giants’ difficulties getting to the red zone and their efficiency therein (42.11% RZ TD efficiency, 29th in the NFL). However, Nabers has great hands and should haul in 4-8 of his targets and has the best shot at a TD among Giants receivers.
