The Atlanta Falcons had a rough Week 14 as Kirk Cousins faltered against his old team in a 42-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Falcons are on a four-game losing streak and have lost first place in the NFC South. With that defeat, Atlanta dropped to ninth in the NFC playoff picture and need to bounce back hard in Week 15.
The Falcons travel to face the Las Vegas Raiders on a Monday night game, with hosts at 2-11 and on a nine-game losing streak. This could be a trap, but Atlanta has to do whatever it takes to win here, so let’s look at their main weapons in fantasy football.
Falcons’ Week 15 Fantasy Outlooks & Predictions
QB: Kirk Cousins
Kirk Cousins has been a tricky QB to predict in 2024, following blistering fantasy performances with game-losing lows. This is partly down to having an elite RB in Bijan Robinson to punch the ball in with, as well as a highly capable backup RB in Tyler Allgeier.
In 13 games, the Falcons QB has thrown for 3,396 yards, 17 TDs and 15 INTs, with a ceiling of 34.36 points and a floor of 2.10. While the Falcons play a Raiders team that is 25th against QBs in fantasy this year, you can’t safely rely on Cousins at the moment.
Cousins could just as easily lose your matchup as win it, so unless you are feeling very lucky, go with a safer option.
Kirk Cousins’ points range: 2-36; Prediction: 12.5
RBs: Bijan Robinson & Tyler Allgeier
Bijan Robinson is a must-start in 2024, as the talented RB has an unignorable upside. Robinson is the RB3 on the year (HPPR), averaging 16.9 ppg, so you should start him in a game where you can foresee a positive game script for RBs.
Meanwhile, Tyler Allgeier needs a touchdown to be fantasy-relevant, so this is a case of gambling on either that positive game script or a touchdown. This is quite a big risk for limited reward, as Allgeier will likely have a ceiling of 13 points with a TD, so unless you are amid an RB crisis, don’t risk it.
Bijan Robinson’s points range: 8-27; Prediction: 16 (HPPR)
Tyler Allgeier’s points range: 2-13; Prediction: 5
WRs: Drake London & Darnell Mooney
Drake London is having that breakout campaign people have been waiting for since being drafted in 2022. With 866 yards and 6 TDs, London has almost eclipsed his season-best of 905 yards and has surpassed his previous high of 4 TDs.
While London’s form has been declining, and he hasn’t scored a TD since Week 9, he is the WR7 in HPPR leagues and you have to keep the faith.
Meanwhile, Darnell Mooney has been a fantastic pickup for fantasy managers and is one of the few WR2s you can trust on a weekly basis. After an injury scare in Week 12 and a bye the next week, Mooney looked fine against the Vikings, recording 142 yards for 17.20 fantasy points. You can start Mooney in your flex or WR2 position with confidence.
Drake London’s points range: 8-27; Prediction: 13.5
Darnell Mooney’s points range: 2-36; Prediction: 15
TE: Kyle Pitts
Kyle Pitts has broken 10 points in HPPR leagues four times in 2024 and crossed 23 in Week 8, but he looks like the forgotten man in Atlanta at the moment. Pitts has failed to break 2 points in three of his last four games and seems to be far down the pecking order for targets.
The Falcons might make a point of getting him the ball this week, but it’s a big gamble to take in fantasy. If you have another viable option you should probably start them. You should only start Pitts if you are in a league of perhaps 14 managers or more.
Kyle Pitts’ points range: 1-24; Prediction: 4.5
