Marvin Harrison Jr. didn’t have an NFL debut to remember and after an offseason of hype, his lone catch for four yards was a real disappointment to fantasy owners. The good news is that this seems very unlikely to repeat in Week 2, where the Arizona Cardinals take on the LA Rams in what could be one of the highest-scoring games on the slate.
Harrison played 54 of a possible 60 snaps against the Buffalo Bills, showing how important he profiles to be for the franchise. He is the top receiving option Arizona has and it feels like Harrison will swiftly get a vastly higher target volume than he did in his debut (3).
This week, Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon recognized that they have to get Harrison more involved while speaking on “Burns and Gambo” (via SI):
“The game plan with how they wanted to play us dictated a lot of his involvement. They kind of took some of that away. We planned for that — or maybe there was a couple other plans — but no question we got to get him going.
“We got to get him a little bit involved, but they did some things that took him away and put a lot of resources to him.”
What numbers to expect from Marvin Harrison Jr. in Week 2?
The issue fantasy managers have is that while Marvin Harrison Jr. will almost certainly see a much better day in Week 2, projecting what that may look like is tricky. While starting him seems risky given his debut, you can certainly foresee him putting up a multi-touchdown game on your bench.

Harrison is projected 10.74 points in HPPR leagues, but if he doesn’t get into the endzone this could be a long shot. Harrison feels likely to be fed the ball at least four times in the first half against the Rams as Arizona looks to give their rookie an injection of confidence. Expect some lower-percentage targets on top as the game progresses.
Marvin Harrison’s Week 2 points range is wide, and between 8-20 seems possible (HPPR). With this in mind, 9 points feel like a reasonable minimum expectation, with a TD pushing him significantly higher.
