Kyle Pitts has not had the NFL career many were predicting but things could be changing with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024. The talented tight end has often suffered for targets and has not gotten close to a 1,000-yard season since his rookie campaign in 2021. Pitts has also not been much of an endzone threat and has 8 career TDs, one of which came this year.
Week 3 sees a potential breakout game for Kyle Pitts, as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs, who have looked very ropey against tight ends. The Chiefs saw Isiah Likely explode for 9 receptions, 111 yards and 1 TD (almost 2), and then saw Mike Gesicki go big for the Bengals in Week 2. Gesicki had 7 receptions for 91 yards.
Combine that with an extra week to gel with QB Kirk Cousins and there is room for optimism.
If you have Kyle Pitts you should start him this week. The game on Sunday night could be a high-scorer, and the Falcons will look to be aggressive to give themselves the best chance of winning. With the Chiefs looking vulnerable to tight ends, this should mean a lot of targets for Pitts, and volume means points.

What numbers to expect from Kyle Pitts in Week 3?
Kyle Pitts saw himself in the endzone in Week 1 but didn’t see much of the ball otherwise and had a disappointing second game. Pitts has 7 targets for 6 receptions, 46 yards and 1 TD in 2024, and will be looking for a breakout game with Kirk Cousins at QB.
The TE clearly has the talent, and given how well Cousins and T.J. Hockenson combined at Minnesota, better days should be on the way. Those days could well be imminent. Expect a much better performance in Week 3, with Kyle Pitts potentially being a game-wrecker in fantasy football.
