Devin Singletary is with a new team in 2024, and while the expectations and morale surrounding the New York Giants are not exactly positive, their new RB looks like a fine piece of business.
Singletary is in the first of his three-year, $16.5 million deal and has hit the ground running, forgive the pun. Singletary suffered from a poor game script in the Giants’ 28-6 Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. However, he still put up 7.20 points (HPPR) from 52 total yards and four receptions.
Week 2 saw him again on the losing side, but this time rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown against the Washington Commanders. Singletary is an integral part of the Giants’ offense and has little competition for touches, with NY’s RB2 Tyrone Tracy Jr. and RB3 Eric Gray only having 10 rushing yards between them thus far.
New York takes on the Cleveland Browns in Week 3, and as both offenses look a bit shaky, this seems to be a hard-running, defensive battle, an ideal matchup for Devin Singletary. Start him with confidence as your RB2 or in the flex spot, unless you have an extremely potent rushing attack.

What numbers to expect from Devin Singletary in Week 3?
Devin Singletary is projected 9.67 points in HPPR leagues against the Browns, which feels a bit low. In the worst-case scenario for him, the Giants go down big early and chase the game, but Singletary will still get the backfield touches and as we saw in Week 1, some checkdowns for short yardage.
If the Browns offense again stutters under Deshaun Watson and the game is close, Singletary will see a big workload. If the Giants go up big, this again means great volume for Singletary. Put simply, the Giants RB profiles to have a good to great game regardless of the game script in Cleveland. If he can add a touchdown, Singletary could be pushing 18 points, and with a decent floor, he is a very safe pick.
Points range – 10-20; Prediction – 14.5 points (HPPR).
