Ja’Marr Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals didn’t have the 2023 NFL season they were hoping for, but they will doubtless be back stronger in 2024. With Joe Burrow hampered by injuries and then shut down for the year, the Bengals found themselves propping up the AFC North with a very credible 9-8 record. The upcoming season looks like something of a revenge tour, and as WR1, Chase will be a very important player in NFL fantasy.

Ja’Marr Chase is the consensus WR3 by Fantasy Pros, behind only CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill in his position, ahead of players like Justin Jefferson and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The consensus No. 1 pick in 2024 is Christian McCaffrey, and Chase is expected to be taken at No. 4 in fantasy drafts. If Chase falls to you any lower than fourth overall, take him immediately.

Ja’Marr Chase’s 2024 NFL fantasy outlook: What numbers to expect from the Bengals WR?

Ja’Marr Chase had a disappointing 2023 season compared to the heights he set in his rookie campaign, but with Joe Burrow’s injury issues effectively derailing the Bengals season, he put up very decent numbers.

Chase finished the season with 100 receptions (career high) for 1,216 yards and 7 touchdowns (career low). This was good for WR11-13 on the year, depending on your league format, and there is reason to believe Chase will be in for a better 2024, presuming he and Joe Burrow stay healthy.

It’s best to temper expectations, and while Ja’Marr Chase could see bigger numbers, it’s likely going to be seen in his TD totals. 1,250 yards and 10 TDs is a good benchmark for the upcoming season, and Chase will likely be among the top five WRs for the season.
