Week 3 is in the books and regardless of how well you’ve started your fantasy football season, you will be looking at wide receivers in waivers and free agency ahead of Thursday Night Football. Streaming wide receivers is a gamble, but when it pays off it can net you a win in a close matchup. Let’s look at five potential streamers in Week 4:
5 Wide Receiver Streamers & Start ‘Ems for Week 4 Fantasy Football
#1, Terry McLaurin, Commanders (@ Cardinals)
Terry McLaurin just rewarded fantasy owners who kept the faith after a very disappointing start to the 2024 season. On Monday night, “Scary Terry” went for 18.00 points (HPPR) from 4 receptions for 100 receiving yards and a TD.
QB Jayden Daniels may have just got the shot of confidence many felt he was lacking in the 38-33 win over Cincinnati. Washington faces the Arizona Cardinals in what looks like a high-scoring game, so McLaurin looks like a great WR2 or flex start in Week 4.
#2, DeAndre Hopkins, Titans (@ Dolphins)
DeAndre Hopkins looked every part an elite receiver in the Tennessee Titans’ 30-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers. While the story of that game was QB Malik Willis’ revenge, Hopkins recorded 6 receptions for 73 yards and a TD, worth 16.30 points in HPPR leagues.
The Titans face the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, who find themselves amid an offensive crisis. At 0-3, it’s getting late very early in Tennessee, and Hopkins and Ridley are both worth the gamble in a WR2/flex spot here. An MCL injury gives pause with Hopkins, but he has played through it thus far and will continue to do so.
#3, Christian Kirk, Jaguars (@ Texans)
Christian Kirk has not been as prolific as many were predicting in the offseason and while the wide receiver did bounce back somewhat in Week 3, the Jaguars need to get their offense firing.
Jacksonville is 0-3, bottom of the AFC South and lost 47-10 to the Buffalo Bills on Monday. With 40 total points scored after three games, the Jaguars will look to hit their division rivals hard in the next two weeks, starting with the Houston Texans.
Kirk had 8 receptions for 79 yards in Week 3, good for 11.90 points in HPPR leagues. Expect the Jaguars to be in win-now mode and to look to him as frequently in Week 3.
#4, Jakobi Meyers, Raiders (vs. Browns)
While the Las Vegas Raiders suffered a very disappointing 36-22 defeat to the Carolina Panthers, Jakobi Meyers scored a late octopus (TD + 2-pt con) to give him 17.70 points in HPPR leagues. Meyers’ 62 yards, touchdown and 2-point conversion make him worth a look in bigger leagues, and he might be available on waivers following a so-so start to the season.
With Davante Adams ruled out for the game vs. Cleveland, Meyers should see more targets, and volume means points.
#5, Darnell Mooney, Falcons (vs. Saints)
Darnell Mooney has looked very solid for the Atlanta Falcons as they find their feet under new QB Kirk Cousins. Mooney has been getting good volume as Atlanta’s WR2 and followed up 16.30 fantasy points (HPPR) in Week 2 with 10.60 points from 8 catches on Sunday night.
A potentially high-scoring game against NFC South rivals the New Orleans Saints could see Mooney again blow past his projections, which are set at 7.28 (HPPR).
